We used to be so close
Sharing all that one knows
There was no place for secrets
Turning over every leaflet

We used to have so much fun
Roam around under the sun
You listened to my silliest of thoughts
Loved the way we patched after we fought

Oh! How I miss those days
Let’s try to figure out a way
As to where we went wrong?
You will realize where you belong
Why are you trying to back out?

But now things have changed
Leaving our lives deranged
You have gone too far away
And I am here in dismay

With you my time used to fly
Now all the beauty turned wry
Struggling to kill the time
Pleading to get over the grime

Now you got new friends to care for
No time to look back any more
What’s most hurting is to go on
And wait for someone who is unknown

Just to know about you
Learned that you been lying a lot too
Trusted you like a blind fool always
But you are fooling no one else but yourself
I realize why you betrayed
Yes, certainly you have changed
For a friend in a shade
Who in the end is going to evade

I wish you could accept
I wish you could see
What you are doing to self
Trusting someone who doesn’t care
